New In // Boots

I admit it - I'm a complete and utter boot fiend. I can't get enough of them. And while these aren't an original pair of the super lustrous Chloé Susan boots they're still gorgeous in my books. I mean let's face it, I was never going to be able to afford the real deal. If I could, I would, but for now I'm very happy with these.

Creatively speaking, things just aren't gelling for me today. So what better way to get myself into gear then to seek some inspiration. There's a certain comfort in randomness and this inspiration post carries no particular theme - simply, the images are things I liked and for some unusual reason resonated with me. Inspiration // New Black

I often think that sometimes the simplest of looks work best. I'm particularly keen on this little ensemble - the shoes, jacket, pants and sweater are perfection. Would you believe I don't actually own a leather jacket of my own. I guess living in a country where the climate is often mild to warm has something to do with it. Most of the time and when it's cold, a jumper is suffice. While I've been searching high and low for one I still haven't found something really special - and I guess it has to be special because the price is often a little steep and one I consider an investment. The jacket above looks perfect though. I'm hoping I find 'the one' when I'm in Japan next month...but I'm a little concerned I might be 'big in Japan'  - literally, as I'm quite tall and the proportions might not work for me. I guess i'll have to wait and see.

Japan here we come

I have some exciting news to share. Next month my boy and I are going to Japan. Ever since I was a little I've dreamed of going - mostly to see the cherry blossoms and drink tea...lol. Finally, it's actually happening. Neither of us have been before so if any of you -my lovely readers have, please share your tips of places to visit, great shopping haunts and great places to eat.

It's pastel appreciation day - well not really, but today I'm loving pastels so I figured why not celebrate it. I think the mild weather we've been having over the past few days has made me feel like abandoning all my Summer brights for sweet cool pastels. This is the ultimate suede jacket in my opionion. The colour is incredible and the boxy cut is impeccable. It's way out of my budget but if I could afford it even a little I'd invest in this piece.

Backstage // Isabel Marant

These Isabel Marant backstage pics are some of my favourites. What I enjoy most is seeing the designs in different angles where the models look more relaxed and candid - i feel the clothes sit better this way. I'm absolutely in love with this collection, particularly with the shoes and that quilted jacket with studs is beyond beautiful. I better start saving now.
